  • Does anyone know How to add to II

Hi everyone I am looking for advice on how to add my deeded week at the Ridge at Sedona Golf Resort (that I just bought on “the black market” EBay) to my Interval account so that I can do some trading with II.

I have spent the past two days (about 8 hours in all) call different people at Diamond Resorts, The Sedona Resort and Interval without finding anyone that seems to have the knowledge to be able to fulfill my request.

Has anyone else gone through this pain and was successful in getting this feat done? If so please HELP

I have always called Interval to have a resort added...never a problem. I then call the resort accounting office to give them a "heads up" that they will be receiving a vertification of ownership from II.

I've always done the same as Joy has and never had a problem. I am assuming that you already have an existing account with II?
What does II state when you call them?

Joy, Ah yes I wish it was only that simple with this property however it seems that due to Diamond trying to get people into “The Club” they have placed restrictions on II. When I do get a representative that is willing to try some creative things they always get to a certain point and hit a brick wall where DRI would let them complete the transaction.
That is where I have gotten caught up in the mouse wheel that I just keep going around and around in.
I had heard what a great property Sedona Golf Resort was (one of the reasons I bought it) I just didn’t know it was going to be this much work to be able to use it

          Welcome to TS4M's

If Diamond Resorts allows it, you can deposit your week on your on.

Sign into your II account, and click "exchange." You should see an option there to "deposit/extend a week." You will need your reservation number, date of check-in, and check-out, in order to make the deposit.

If Diamond Resorts does not allow you to deposit on your own, then you will need to call, as suggested.

          Good Luck!!!

Jericap, II tells me that I need to contact Diamond who then tells me to contact II - Just a big circle. I think part of the problem is that II is so geared for “the Club” that they aren’t sure what to do with an owner

Angela, that would be great if it works, but I was told I had to register the timeshare before I could deposit and that is were I am stuck in the loop

Yup, you do. Once your timeshare is registered, the availability page will show up when you click "your units," or "Exchange," "Deposit/Extend A Week," etc.

Gee, that's a tough one. Hopefully someone here with Diamond Resorts, experience will chime in.

Angela, I sure hope someone can espically since everyone I have talked to at Diamond so far hasn't known the secret to unlock this problem and needless to say at this point I am extremely frustrated and not sure where to turn.
I would hate to resell such a nice timeshare so soon just because of a seemingly dumb problem
I do appericate you input so far

There is no pain associated with any of this. It is not an option.

                    1) If you are a member of THE Club, the II account you have is a corporate account and you cannot add privately owned weeks to that account.

I'm guessing you're not in THE Club, so you have your own II account that you're referring to, but you still have a problem.

                    2) Ridge on Sedona Golf Resort IS NOT AFFILIATED with Interval International, therefore you may not deposit your privately owned week into Interval. WHAT you say? Yes, Ridge on Sedona Golf Resort IS NOT AFFILIATED with Interval International. THE Club is affiliated with II, not the Resort, that's why you see your resort in the II catalog, it is Club inventory that gets put into II.

Lot's of people misunderstand the relationships with the exchange companies and it's different for different resorts.

At Powhatan if you are a traditional weeks owner you can trade with RCI only (or an independent if they'll take it) if you are in THE Club then it's II only.

At Cypress Pointe where they have kicked out RPM management and dual affiliated you can trade your traditional week with anyone but if your ownership is in the Club you can only use II.

Uh-Oh, I hope the OP isn't going to be very disappointed.

and I hope I'm right, but given what I know and what little the OP gave me to work with, that's my take.

Pat, OK so how do I deposit my time then?? Or is this a way to force people to join "the Club" for additional $$$. Also how can "the Club" belong and not the people who own deeds at diamond who are keeping the company afloat (as much if not more so than just the "members")?? This almost seems like a bit of a scam and a border line case of extortion to try to force people to join "the Club" even though they may not want to?? I know the laws in AZ are liberial but has anyone ever tested a case against this?
