  • Best Choice? THE Club or RCI

With the wealth of information I gathered from my last thread I now am moving forward to my next set of choices and decisions. Since this is my first Diamond property I am still in my learning curve
So I now know that I can’t use my II membership and I am either going to have to joint RCI again (yuk) or join THE Club (totally unfamiliar with it) to be able to trade my newly acquired 2 BR/LO at the Ridge on Sedona Golf Course TS.
I have learned in the short time I’ve been on this forum that there is a vast quantity of knowledge about the pros and cons of both so all information about which way to go will be greatly appreciated.

If it were mine I would buy a cheap RCI Points weeks OR a three year RCI Points lease for a few hundred $$. Then I would place the week into PFD for a few years and see how it goes. If it works well stick with it. If not after a couple years you can buy into The Club for thousands of $$ and see if THAT meets your needs. Not as easy to get out of as RCI Points would be.

      Club

I think the answer to Club vs RCI will be one of opinion.

Personally, I'm a Club member and wouldn't have it any other way. I have great flexibility with when and how I use points and can stretch them until the buffalo screams, so to speak. Club members also automatically belong to II which we think has more high end property and is better than RCI. As you read, you'll see we trade in II under the Corporate Account with great leverage!

Yes, Club costs either $2995 for a package or the purchase of a small amount of additional points to buy your way in. RCI cost is negligible. Both have yearly comparable fees.

      Still favor Club!

So where can more information on costs and such be found? I have seen a lot of information in alot of the threads on this site but don't recall seeing a web address or place to contact for more information on THE Club

While I can agree with both post #2 and #3 above, you will not find the information in this forum anywhere else. You might not think it's concise, but try to get any information out of DRI about resales is about as easy and useful as an umbrella in a hurricane.
