Saving Points

I have about 7500 points left for 2008. And recently put a request in with II stating that I would use my 2008 points if the room I want becomes available. Now what would happen if I save my points because I am not not sure if the room will be come available. I dont want to lose 7500 points, would I be able to save them and then pay my 2009 MF and use 2009 points for the II room?

That's exactly how to cover all bases, save 'em all and the only 'penalty' to get them back is having to pay MFs a little early.

My understanding is that if you save 2008 points to 2009, they are stuck in 2009, they may be used for 2009 Club reservations or 2009/2010/2011 I.I. reservations. You may 'borrow' the 2009 allotment for the reservation you now want in 2008.
