  • Being Charged too many points??

Can anyone explain to me, why when I looked online for a reservation for Polo Towers, that parts of week 37 (check in Sept 19, 2008) were being charged the normal High Season points of 14500 for a 2 bedroom villa, but other dates such as Sept 18th are being charged as a Peak week at 15950 points. I believe this is week 37 and on Polo's point sheet that week is and always has been just a High season week. On top of that other weeks that should be High season are also being charged Peak points depending on what day you check in. In my records the only Peak week until week 52 should be week 48. What is going on?

You really have to watch what's being charged/quoted. They often don't get the holiday week right for Easter/4July/Thanksgiving etc., MANY times they will charge holiday points for the week prior/after and charge whatever the seasonal rate is for the holiday. If they've made this error, they will not change/compensate - you just get a great rate for the holiday and pay dearly for the mis-pointed week.

As to why Polo is off in September, it's anyones guess. The website and their own Call Center computers often quote a 'nightly' rate for a FR/SA/SU check-in instead of the weekly rate and if that happens a call can remedy that. Of course a non-standard week check-in on a M/T/W/Th will incur the nightly rate which ends up being 10% more.
... not enough time for all the timeshares ®

The non standard week check in would explain the 15950.
      Thanks Spence

Don't forget fixed week 27 and the two Easter weeks (that change each year)
