  • Just cancelled my II res, is my new AC really trading BETTER than my points did?

Last year, I booked a week at Disney with my points in II. DH is unemployed right now and we won't be able to go. So I just cancelled this morning and got my AC. I'm doing a search for San Diego for the next year and the availability is just INCREDIBLE with my AC! I wasn't seeing this in my DRI corp points account. WHY?! Did I just miraculously trade up? Or are all points NOT created equal when it comes to DRI? Thoughts? (sheesh, maybe I should do this EVERY year, except it costs me that whoppin' $139 exchange fee times 2!)

And while I'm asking, I saw a post a while back that if I want a really good resort, like Four Seasons Aviara, I should CALL? This might not show up on my online search? Why?

Very good resorts and what are termed 'select' resorts on the lower end, will not show up online, you can usually get them with a phone call if they are available.

      Is this specific to DRI?

OP, I am sorry about your situation....by "AC" do you mean the replacement week II put in your account for your canceled exchange?

I'm sure they mean replacement week.... it should 'see' exactly what original points could have seen.

That has been my experience as well with II.
