I didn't have no time to check the availability and points required? Have to produce too many reports by the end of August to keep my job to resource my TS hobby.

Some raintree properties in Mexico are very nice, but DRI asks for too many points that I would rather exchange via II.

What do you think about the points required for these new affilitates: low, fair or high?

I looked at the points for the two New Hampshire resorts for a planned ski trip for the 1st week of March 09. Points weren't bad, but the ski areas are only half rate ones. Certainly not worth changing plans from Lake Tahoe. Don't think I'll ever stay at either one.

San Diego availability looked thin and expensive. Cape Cod was definitely thin and even more costly.

Verdict - some good, some not. The addition of Bluegreen if that happens will be much nicer - of course only if it comes with some availability!

A one bedroom in Cape Cod was only 3000 points for a week. I thought that was good!

I was looking in May 09. Think I saw a 1BR over 7500 pts. 3000 points would be great, but I would want July or August. Doubt we could get that, and probably only for 8000 pts or more!

Anyone know if elite upgrade privileges apply to this new class of resort, or will we have to pay full freight?

I searched the San Diego ones last week and I was seeing availability 10 months out easily. I was sad about the points required. Of course Sunterra made it sound like when we purchased 5 years ago - deeded red week into the club -- that we'd always have enough points to get a one bedroom during the high season anywhere -- since that was what we bought -- red season one bedroom for 5500 pts. I've been sad to see a few HI resorts come on that we had to pay more for (even in mid season!) and now these San Diego ones. I believe it was 7500 pts for spring/summer for a 1 bedroom (more than Kaanapali in summer??) and I think I saw them for 4500 pts in winter.
