            Unfortunately, the THEY here is every member of THE Club and every Customer Service Agent at DRI. If there wasn't supposed to be an AC in everyones Corporate Account it was only a matter of hours... every member could see it when they logged in and every CSA when members called in for II exchanges. Did you know that when you reach the Miami Call Center you are talking to one of about 90 II employees who answer the phone for DRI? I'm sorry you're not "Happy."

              That just plain stinks!

              Let's hope it's just a glitch. I keep checking for some info from DRI but haven't seen anything.

                My confirmed exchange is still there but, I suspect that will be gone in the next few days as well. I'm certain that if they weren't suppose to give out AC's then they'll cancel any exchanges made.

                Now I'll be asking for two refunds. I received and E-mail today about the billed club dues I received......and paid. They said the invoice had been backed off but they didn't owe me a refund. HUH? I paid a bill that wasn't due so now they get to keep my money?

                Just when I thought DRI was moving up on my favorites list they plunge right back down to the bottom with less than bad customer care. Simplicity? Remember that part of their motto? So far it's been a little bit less than simple if you ask me. Today it seems to be getting downright frustrating.

                  I checked my DRI account a few weeks ago and it showed me account had a +$70 balance. I wondered why. Have they decided not to go through with the SA? I got no email about a change.

                  My AC is still there. Maybe because I paid the $139 to put in the request.

                        I think it's more that DRI screwed up than anything else.

                        I was contemplating their motto Simplicity recently and reviewing my experience for this year (so far, we still have time a few months to go). Here's what's happened to me that hasn't made my life "simple."

                        1. Surprise $70 special assessment. No bill or warning. I just happend to be reading the forums here or I'd have missed it. Just think what it would have been like had I been a trust member. There have been reports that DRI has cancelled trust memberships for non-payment. That's a fight I wouldn't want to have to take up (a losing fight most likely from the owners perspective).

                        2. Overbilled for club dues that I contractually didn't have to pay. Not only was I billed but I paid related to worries that they cancel my THE Club membership that I had just paid $2,995 to join. When I called them on it, they acknowledged it was billed in error but, I didn't see a refund. When I requested the money be refunded, they said they didn't owe it to me. When I pressed it and pointed out that I paid an invoice that shouldn't have been billed and therefore sent them money I didn't owe, they aggreed but, rather than refund the money to me, they were crediting it towards next years membership fee's. In checking my online account, no credit has been posted as of 2 days ago.

                        3. The magically disappering AC's. Granted it's a benefit we shouldn't have recieved but, it's still something that should never have happened. I know I haven't had that problem with any of my other ownerships and I've never seen it written about on a system wide basis.

                        So, in 7 months DRI has screwed up on my account at least 3 times that I know about. IMO, that's not simplicity but could be considered something else.

                                Mine still shows as confirmed.

                                Should I call II to clarify? I don't want to give up the "freebie". I don't want them to cancel my reservation after my flight reservation. I absolutely don't want them to deduct my 2009 points.

                                Real catch 22.
