I was at Powhatan too many staff, you couldn't go anywhere without tripping over golf carts. The unit I stayed in was a deluxe bottom unit not very old however it was missing kitchen items, and the door knob to the patio came off in my hand. So really what is the increase in fees getting us. Look special assessment is one thing, but a MF increase that's a total different matter altogether because I have never seen MF go the other direction. Cut costs, if I hear one more apologist tell me how everything will be better with more of my money I'm going to puke.

Two comments regarding Powhatan and this thread . . .

1st, the improvements are good and are happening. The new pool furniture, duvets, sheets, towels, and mattresses are great!

2nd, if you've ever seen the financials, the resort has been run on the cheap, with basically nothing going into reserves. In order to get to any level of health, MF will have to increase. Half of $1150 for a 2BR unit is still industry norm. Not that I like MF increases any more than anyone else.

Seen the finacials don't "buy" the expense, industry makes money on MF. This is a version of front end spending

Does MF pay any part of the salaries of any recently new hires of top mgt personnel in the DRI organization?
