I was going to make a reservation and need to borrow 125 points from 2009, and I was under the impression that you paid the MF on just the points you borrowed, But the representative told me I would have to pay the ertire 2009 MF. Just thought I would pass this info along.

No, you can't do just 125 points but if you have multiple contracts, I've been able to just pay one contract at a time as I needed.

in june i forwarded all my extra, unused 2008 pts to 2009. A few days back, i needed to borrow 1000 pts from 2009 to fill a weekend getway in late 2008. I was asked to pay the entire 2009 MF (estimated amt based on 2008 MF) for one of the two contracts I own to bring back just that 1000 pts.

I brought forward and paid 2009 MF's on a partial number of points earlier this year. In a subsequent conversation with Customer Service I was told this was an error on the part of the CS representative involved but they would allow it to stand. i.e., the policy is that you bring forward whole contracts when you need points advanced.

takes time...takes time. I asked this question of five reps and got the correct answer each time. Not too shabby

We have banked points every year, and each year we were required to pay all the MFs on all the contracts to use any points. I asked if we could pay partical fees and was told no. So I guess we have gotten new trained personal each year... or I asked the question wrong. Or maybe it is how the contract(s) were done? Will have to check on this! I would love to pay MFs on only one of them and use some of the banked points, if we ever need to.
