  • DRI US Collection ballot received

I received my ballot today in the mail and there's an online option to assign proxy and vote. So, Spence - can I assign my proxy to you since you will be in attendance?

Let me add that the credentials for the candidates - and there are many - are impressive. Too bad there are only 2 openings.

I've not committed to attend so, no, do not assign a proxy to me. Just vote for someone who you might know something about, like maybe the last guy on the ballot. I attended last year and the non-DRI person that got elected to the board was not in attendance.

I've got my Hawai'i ballot, and I don't recognize any of the names. I tried to google a couple of the names to see if I could track down an e-mail address or contact information, but haven't heard anything back from e-mails I sent out based on the googling.

“This is a blouse and skirt. I don't know what you're talking about.”

        “You shouldn't wear that body.”

The annual meeting of the Diamond Resorts U.S. Collection Members Association was held on October 14, 2008. At the meeting, member Clive Arlington was elected to the Board and incumbent director Kathy A. Wheeler was re-elected.
DRI follows through on their promise to elect another member to the BOD. DRI = 3; Members = 2.

Spence, do you see any improvement with the election process of t/s members to the board and is Diamond International headed in the right direction for owners?

The Hawai'i Trust is structured so that each vote by DRI counts as three votes as long as DRI owns at least 20% of the units in the Trust. At the DRI boards I commented the other day that under that arrangement the best thing that DRI could do for owners would be to simply dispense with voting entirely and credit all of the money saved to maintenance.

Although the moderators are pretty free handed, somehow I doubt that post will ever be approved and appear on the site. It's been four days now and a lot of more recent posts have been approved.

Improvement? DRI has a block vote of all their unsold inventory, impossible to beat. They now have a board which will always have a majority of DRI employees sitting but does have member representation.

I doubt they would ever need their triple points.
