  • Point Bargains - a sign of the times

For anyone looking for more points they are available now at all time baragin prices on EBay. Packages of 6500 or more I have been monitoring of late have been going for a penny a point or less this past couple of weeks. Many have been going without bid!

I wish I were bying but have all I can reasonably use ...

Given how large the increases have been in fees, I wonder if that is contributing to the lack of bids on DRI points packages.

In Wyndham, it's cheaper to rent points from other owners than it is to buy. Has DRI reached that limit yet?

DRI does not have the facility to easily 'rent' points (transfer between accounts).

Looking for some advice here. I am in the trust and belong to the Club. If I purchase some resale points, how would that affect my reservations status? Would I be able to use them to make a reservation at 13 months out with the home club advantage I have with the points I already own? I make my reservations online. If the points would not count toward my home club advantage, would the online system accept my reservation using the right set of points? It seems like the waters could get a little muddy in trying to keep everything straight and I don't want to reduce my chances in getting a reservation (it seems like it's hard enough to get a reservation these days!) Thanks for your advice!!!

Unless you pay to roll your resale points into THE Club, you would have the same Club account you have now and you'd have a separate Trust account with your new purchase that has no bearing or impact on your Club.

So, would this cause confusion when trying to make reservations? In other words, if I make a 13-month reservation, would the system know I am using my original points?

I don't understand your question, how could there be confusion on separate accounts, they're separate?

How much is it to roll the points into the club? I'm looking at buying some more points off of ebay at where I initially bought into the club at. I'd like to have one single account; how much would it be to roll 5,500 points over for just a standard member?

Two 30Kpt packages just sold on eBay this evening for less than $1K each; that's ~$50K retail each.
