With the market and everything the way that it is, I'm seeing this as a good time to load up on more points. I'm a little worried about DRI management, and fees for the long haul. But putting that aside, I'm still seriously thinking about acquiring some more points.
I have a 5,000 point membership in the California collection. Here's my information:
Member Type: DRI California Member Association Member Level: Valued Club Member
Now, this ebay auction is for 5,500 annual points at the same place that I currently own.
Diamond Resorts 5,500 Annual Points Timeshare - eBay (item 290274809673 end time Nov-24-08 19:30:00 PST)
If I were to win this auction (and what would be the going price for something like this?), what would actually happen?
Would the points just roll over into my current account? Would I have two accounts? If so, could I transfer points between accounts? Would the second one be in the club and be albe to be used in II, and everything else?
Just a newbie trying to figure this out. Our initial plan was to buy into the club low, and then pick up more points as needed through the second-hand market. But we're still trying to figure out exactly how that would work....
