We are silver elite members of Diamond Resorts and have 17,000 points per year. For 2009 we have 25,500 points and 9,000 points still left for 2008! Is there a way to sell these points? Thanks for any advice!

Do you own points in one of the DRI collections/Trusts?
Do you own at a single DRI resort and if so which one?
The number of points you have each year isn't really relevant because as a DRI owner you can not sell your membership in THE CLUB but only the property/trust which generates the DRI points.Bill

Are you wanting to sell your ownership or just the points you can't use?
I'm not the expert on THE Club or any DRI Trust but, if you haven't already saved your 2008 points I think you're in a use it by the end of December or lose it position.
If you're only wanting to "sell" you unused points but not sell you ownership, you'll need to find someone knowledgable about renting. Our timeshare and other photo's at http://dougp26364.smugmug.com/

I have three US Collection contracts (5K, 7.5K, and 21,000pts) I'd like to sell. It used to be 20 cents a point minimum. I'd be happy with 10 cents.
I also have a couple of Polo Tower weeks I'd love to sell. Buying is easy. Selling is much more difficult.
Any advice on where to list and how to sell Diamond Resorts specifically would be greatly appreciated.

How do I sell Diamond Resort Points?
Thank you all for your responses.
I know we will not be able to use our remaining points for 2008 and will lose them. I am not familiar with trading them for the things "Winger" mentioned. How do I find out about that?
Regarding our membership, we would like to leave the club. We owned at St. Martin and transferred our timeshare to points in 2006 under Sunterra. I assume we are part of the trust because our timeshare was and our paperwork says the deed & title are held in Trust for Club Sunterra Vacations for the benefit of CSV members. It also says my membership can be passed to my heirs, that I may sell or give away my ownership rights (subject to a fee) and that my CSV membership is transferrable but not my Club Sunterra exchange. So where do I go from here?
Thanks in advance for the advice!

At one point about 6 months ago, points in the US collections were being bought back by DRI and had a pretty good value. I don't think they (DRI) is doing that anymore and the value of most TS ( not just DRI ) is in free fall. TS which always could be sold for $2000- $4000 six months ago are selling for $200- $800.
Sorry.Bill
