I'm wondering which units have the private jacuzzi, I was about to book a 3 bedroom phase 1, I currently have booked a cabin at Bent Creek for my Father. I stayed at Bent Creek and liked it well enough but was wondering if the 3 bedrooms Phase 1 at GTS are equal or better than the cabins. In any case if you stayed at GTS I would be interested in your view. Furthermore are there no 3 bedrooms in Phase 2? Thanks

Phase 2 has two bedroom lock-off units and we have stayed in one of those. Phase 2 units have a washer/dryer combo. That alone is reason enough for me to reserve phase 2 over phase 1. I don't recall whether the tub in our room was a jetted tub or just a soaking tub. Even when they are jetted tubs, we never actually turn on the jets. For us it's a wasted "luxury".

I just looked at my own pictures. I became curious to see if it was actually a jetted bath tub and it was. Here's a picture of the bathtub in a Phase 2 two bedroom lock-out unit.

If you are staying in the back building, don't expect any WIFI. Also the front desk staff can be a pain to deal with. I stayed there in January and the manager should have been fired for the way she acted. If I could have found other lodging for the same price, when I checked in, I would have checked out. This was a major point when it came to sales presentation time. The units are nice, the location great. The pool will be cold as it is not heated very well. Bent Creek is just so far from downtown, but if you are only going for the resort, then it would be ok. Take advantage of the craft community and take a ride to explore it.Comment

GTS is old and it shows. My room had only one sink and the whole bathroom was only 4' wide ! The bedroom and livingroom share the same space. The kitchen ? was so small they should have just left that out.Comment

The one bedroom portion of the two bedroom LO unit we had did not have a set up where the bedroom and living area shared the same space. Yes the units are on the smallish side IMO but, they are set up like any other one or two bedroom unit we've ever been in.

On the other hand, when we received our confirmation, it did not list the washer/dryer combo. We were expecting to be in phase 1. When we arrived, we were pleasantly surprised to learn we had been assigned a phase 2 unit. Unfortunately, we packed as if we would not have the washer/dryer in the unit.

We'll guess what, I just looked in our vacation files and for whatever reason, I had not discarded our old confirmation for GTS. Our sleeping capacity was listed as 2 bedroom 2 bath 6/6. Sleeping arrangements were listed as 1 king bed, 2 single beds and 1 pull out sofa. In reality we did not have 2 single beds in the second bedroom. It was either another king or maybe a queen, I really don't recall. I do not recall if the studio LO section had a sofa sleeper or not.
GTS has more than one type of room. About all you can do is call the resort and ask what you are confirmed into based on the information from your exchange confirmation.

Here's a photo of the studio LO side which clearly shows a sofa in that portion of the 2 bedroom unit. Assuming that it's a sofa sleeper and that the sofa in the master suite is also a sofa sleeper, then one could imagine that a 6/8 unit could be in phase 2. That would be 2 people in the master bedroom, two people in the lock-out bedroom and 4 people between two sofa sleepers.
But, like I said, we were not put into a unit matching the configuration listed on our I.I. confirmation. So I'd call a couple of weeks before check in to confirm or at least list your preferences.
