As long as you are there to check-in room

I'm planning on a family reunion in 2010 and will need at least 3-4 2BDRM units. Since we would all be there at the same time, could I just keep all the units under my name and avoid paying for extra guest certificates? I've done this in the past when I've rented 2 units, and not had any problem. The reservations desk simply said I would be responsible for any problems and they added the extra $100 deposit for each reservation.

It should be fine as long as you are there. Just did that with an extra room for a friend a couple weeks ago.
