Elite Membership questions

I saw the sticky with the membership differences..

I was looking at the differences between Gold and Platinum

The biggest ones I see are

Free Space upgrade for platinum (how often does this actually happen, and is this basically a room upgrade?.. like 1bd to 2bd if avaliable?)

The Gold membership says
Member benfit discounted fee $39/$19

The Platinum says
Elite member priority services.

What do each of those mean?

The bonus time discount would be nice if they had any coastal california resorts.

Not often, it means an upgrade to the next larger size unit if available.

The Gold membership says
Member benefit discounted fee $39/$19
I'm not sure what this is for, by convention it would indicate that the regular price is $39 and the discounted price $19 for whatever it is.

The Platinum says
Elite member priority services.
I don't know, some sort late check out and stuff like that.

The bonus time discount would be nice if they had any coastal california resorts.
They used to have one in downtown San Diego (Harbour Lights) but it didn't sell fast enough and by some CA law they had to refund monies, etc., now it's a Fairfield maybe?

Thanks Spence.. doesnt sound like Platinum is much better than Gold.
