The Ridge or the Summit???

Am planning a family trip to Cabo and then up to Sedona for the 2nd half of July of 2010.

We have a family of 5, children 11, 10, 9, and my mother will be coming along with.

We're Club members with enough points.

Any recommendations for which place to stay at? Is the 3BR at Summit worth a premium over a 2br and a 1BR at the Ridge?

Any suggestions for activities other than the norm?

I can't speak for the Summit but my family stayed at the Ridge a couple years back. We had a 2BDRM (1BDRM w studio lock-off) and had plenty of room for 7 when my cousin, his wife and 2 boys came up to stay for a few nights. Beautiful view as well.

Unless your mother would rather have her own place or own room you wouldn't need more room as long as your kids will sleep on the sofabeds as our did.

I believe katiemack has a whole sticky for Sedona in the SW forum.

We enjoyed the pink jeep tour and also sliprock park.

I stayed at the Summit 2 years ago in the new section Sunset Suite 2 bedroom and I thought the rooms were very nice.
