  • Looking into resale properties Diamond Resorts

Just trying to get more information from the timeshare know alls. I have found two different properties- one in Las Vegas, another in Palm Springs. The Palm Springs resort looks a little run down but has cheaper maintenance fees than the Las Vegas property. I really am buying this for the points and access to the 19 US properties I could use. Is there any advantages with going with one over the other?
One more question- if I have points with the Hawaii collection am I going to pay the operational fee for the US Collection as well, my guess is yes. Thanks for any info. you can give me!

Okay, I'm intrigued. It is the Marquis Villas Resort. Something wrong with a Palm Springs resort?

I have stayed at the Marquis Villas. I visited it last summer and spoke with the General Manager and he took me on a tour. This property is beat up, but they were in the process of refurbishing rooms. The rooms are very large and spacious. However, the grounds needed to be maintained better.

One thing about the Marquis Villas is that it is in a prime spot in Palm Springs. You can walk to the main street and to the movie theatre. Everything is within walking distance.

I said I will not stay there until it is fixed up again and I won't.

No, but two out of the three resorts listed there are not really DRI resorts amd MV I think was the former EPIC and there have been problems with it, for awhile DRI had cancelled all reservations and was not making new ones until some changes were made.
