Does anybody else get the feeling that it's cheaper to and more flexible to pay for getaways through interval than exchange using points in DRI, even for gold II resorts?

I've been trying to find resorts in the New England area, of which DRI does not have much, and it seems easier and less expensive to pay with cash.

In today's environment, more than ever, cash is King. If you're persistent you can get any great travel bargain and/or find that timeshare owner that is desperate to get just part of their MFs back. So, if you're using all your points anyway, don't borrow points for extra stuff just find that bargain.
... not enough time for all the timeshares ®
