  • What to do with Grand Beach 2009 3BR Week?

Because of changes in plans, I now have a 3BR Platinum Phase I floating week at Grand Beach left for 2009 which I am not going to be able to use.

Any suggestions on how to maximize this value?

What weeks are most valuable to RCI? Should I join RCI and deposit the week? Should I reserve a week and try to rent it?

Much appreciate the advice. Feel free to PM me if a posted response is inappropriate.

I do not have much experience in renting weeks. This is the first year that I attempted to rent a Myrtle Beach summer week, although I listed it under other renters I did not have it rented before the 60 day option to bank it for an exchange. I opened a II account and deposited it, for the option of exchanging it within the 2 year time frame.

It might be a difficult year for renting much above your maintenance fees. My advice would be to open an account with an exchange company and bank it for an exchange in the next 2 years.

I am a Grand Beach owner also. What are they charging you for your maintenance fees?

In short, I've made a mess of it and can't actually tell what 2009 MFs were.

In any event, I was able to reserve a WK52 unit (Dec 26 to Jan 2) and will attempt to rent it via TUG listings and Redweek.com. If I have no luck by November, I'll deposit it to RCI.

      Thanks for the suggestions!
