    I agree Bulldog

This seems to be the only forum on the net that encourages open discussion on DRI (as long as posts are constructive and polite) I have only just joined but I am encouranged by the discussion and feedback left in threads that I have viewed so far and it is great to hear a wider perspective on matters relating to DRI from our friends outside of the UK.

I am a moderator myself at TST, and it is a pretty open forum on subjects other than DRI. There is a very active DRI group there and they do have their own ways.

That's one way of putting it Carolinian

Yes I have decided since the new moderator has been apointed for DRI forum on TST not to participate on that forum - seems a very strange forum that DRI one on TST I will go on viewing but not participating on there. I agree there are some very good other areas on TST and to be fair some of the info on the DRI section is good it is just the forum discussions which seem to be stifled by a certain gentleman.

Who is THEY? It seems to me that it is the owners/members who are making the refurbishment investments because THEY have voted it so.

Like Carolinian I also moderate over on TST and can assure you that the use of "the former company" rather than "Sunterra" has not been done for the hell of it. I'm not going to enlarge on that comment as I don't like using one forum to discuss another.

              Refurbishments

Yes I respect the resort committees will place their requests for refurbishment plans with DRI (within budget constraints) but surely the funds come from DRI (From part of our fees) to complete refurbishments - Please correct me if I am wrong?

There have been many, many regimes that have tried to re-write history, are US and UK history books on that war that ended in 1783 different? I bet they are. Let's not try to re-write history here, Sunterra, Sunterra Pacific, Sunterra Europe all existed as did their predecessors and others taken over GVC, EPIC, Signature....
