  • DRI THE Club =/= II Gold ?

Anyone else having problems booking GetAways at the Gold discount, wasn't our 65% increase in Club fees partially justified by the Gold II benefits?

I haven't attempted to book a getaway and yes, Interval Gold was suppose to be an added benefit when they jacked the fee's on THE Club dues. It's been my opinion the Interval Gold is a waste of money since we tried it back in 2003. That opinion hasn't changed. I'd be more than happy to see DRI drop Interval Gold and return the savings to their members.

Just lower the fee - there is no value

Amen. Total waste of money and a bogus "enhancement" if there ever was one.

        At last AGM

I am certain that at last AGM, DRI agreed from next year that II Gold would be optional (not II) and that fees would reflect the adjustment and those who wanted Gold would pay for it as a supplement.

I think any enhancements to membership that have a cost value should be optional in an effort to keep the fees down, especially for those who never make use of any of the enhancements such as II membership.
Am I right in thinking that even though II membership is included that members still have to pay to use it by way of a fee when exchanging?
Life may not be the party we hoped it would be, but while we are here we might as well dance......

It doesn't matter if you're paying for a personal account or if you have access to a coporate account as with DRI, you always have to pay an exchange fee to use Interval or RCI to exchange your week.

Any mandatory enhancement that has a mandatory additional fee is no enhancement at all. I'll take my $50+ Interval charges for Interval Gold and DRI can keep their "enhancement."

I don't understand. I received my Gold membership card and package every year. I have booked a Getaway week and paid the Gold membership price only, i.e. $25 less.

Do you mean when you purchase a Getaway, the system prompts you to pay the regular price.
