Advice needed
I own an EOY-Odd, 2BR Lock Off at Diamond Bent Creek Golf.
In an attempt to early bank, 2 One Bedrooms for the 2011 year with RCI I have already paid Diamond my 2011 Maintenance Fee’s. Learned my resort does not bank 2011 weeks until 2010 calendar year.
Now that I see the huge increases that Diamond has made on the M/F’s, I would really rather get rid of the week, perhaps even giving it away.
Come January 2010, should I ask the resort to deposit the weeks into my RCI account, or should I ask the resort to reserve me a couple of good summer week’s? Honestly, I really do not need the weeks since I currently have three (3) in the RCI spacebank now that I need to use.
Should I try to sell in 2010 with next available use of 2013? Should I try to sell in 2010 and offer the new buyer the summer weeks I have previously reserved (if allowed), or try to sell with an offer to transfer the spacebanked weeks into their RCI account if that is still allowed.
How would you handle this?
