  • Can we exchange with RCI...?

I have been trying to get a straight answer for most of this year, off and on. I did ask it at the Members Update at Grand Beach, Orlando, in April of this year, but did NOT get an answer from the sells person....

I was told by one of the As. Managers at GB that, Yes, we can exchange with RCI, and had allways been able to since she worked there for the last 7 or 8 years....

I asked over on the RCI exchange siteing board and they sent me to here...
I did look here, but still...

And of course, I looked at the DRI site, heheheh.

SO- IF we can, how do we do it.

    Thanks everyone!
I used to use II to get into DVC, but since last Jan1 that ain't happening. To many points to buy into DVC, sigh...

Do you own weeks or points. From the sound of your question, you may have points in THE Club. If you own points in THE Club you may only do II with your points.

Grand Beach is affiliated with RCI but THE Club is not.

If you own a week (then you reserve your week if floating) you join RCI and deposit it.

If you have a Undivided Interest Deed that is represented by points and are not a member of THE Club you may be able to deposit into RCI after making your reservation with the resort.

If you can't exchange with RCI you certainly aren't missing anything! Maybe count your blessings...

It's a bit worse than that for you, I think. Even if you can deposit your week into RCI, RCI prohibits Orlando area owners from trading into DVC in Orlando.

Quoted from the bottom of a DVC "available units" screen on RCI:

I have seen the thickness of RCI's 'manual' and a global map with all of RCI's resorts. They seem to trump II's in both respects.

Please elaborate on what are we (CLUB/II) NOT missing?

Just because it's in RCI's book doesn't mean you can get it. Many of what they claim to represent may get only 5-10 deposits PER YEAR. I have three select properties that will 'see' anything RCI has in their coffers, but properties like that ($239, $293, and $600 MF/yr) are few and far between. The $600/yr one is for sale.
