DRI really has opened up lines of communication with owners, and questions and comments do get taken seriously. Sending e-mails to Cloobeck really does get a response; usually not by him but it's clear that the e-mails get read and responded to.

    In fact, shortly after DRI acquired Sunterra, Cloobeck himself actually registered here and participated in some of the discussions. The mods here did some digging and did confirm that it was Cloobeck himself, not someone pretending to be him.

      Yes, I am in agreement here. I have found them to be very responsive to inquiries and questions and concerns that I have had. I have always been satisfied when I have had a problem handled. They do make an effort. Mr. Duffy and Mr. Shelton get right to the root of the problem. I have been fortunate in my situations because I was totally in the right and they handled the situations appropriately. It is for this reason that I have been pretty supportive of DRI. My experience has been that I have gotten what I have paid for and I am able to get what I want in accommodations.

        Just an update, to give DRI credit where credit is due.

        I said in my post yesterday that I had e mailed DRI last Sunday and had not yet received a reply. Today I was contacted by phone from Linda in Mr. Duffy's and Shelton's office. She was extremely nice and wanted to tell me that the issue I had raised in my e mail had been resolved to my satisfaction.

        She thanked me for the e mail and said that these communications help them know what their issues are. She said that based on the input they have received, they did in fact decide to reverse the decision about online reservations for Regional Club members.

        I give them high marks for what was a very rapid response for the corporate world.
