  • Possible DVC units at River Country?

Nice article from Tim Krasniewski about possible Disney Vacation Club expansion at the site of the former River Country Waterpark..

Huge thread on this (mostly speculation from what I read) on one of the Disney boards. I'm linking to it because the first page has some aerial photos of the area in question. I'm a sucker for maps in all forms, but especially aerial photo maps. The area they're talking about putting the DVC units is roughly the brown patch to the right of "settlement trading post" in the first pic.

Thanks for posting! I was banned from the DIS long ago since I work in resales and Tom isn't too friendly to what he considers competition!

I guess I could have deleted my cookies and snuck in under the radar with a new user name- but I doubt I'd stay quiet enough to survive long so I've never bothered..

I kind of suspect being banned from the DIS may be a badge of honor.

It's gotta be the weirdest board I've ever hung out on -- and I've been posting to boards since the days of BBSs, where you had to dial up the individual computer hosting the board. Requests for information that would be resolved in six or eight posts elsewhere will blow up into 10-15 page threads because there's such a high percentage of posters who not only equate cultural preferences with morality, but are willing to engage in Holy War in defense of said preferences.

Meanwhile, perfectly reasonable threads that have essentially accomplished their purpose and are dying a natural death get locked (and thus pulled back to the top of the page) because the topic belongs somewhere else.

        Lots of pretty pictures, though.

Disboards are horrible for any real discussion about timeshare, i have not been banned, more like I banned myself, I can't stand the culture there, and I love Disney!
