  • More New Rules - DVC - Rent Trade Board

Went to post an ad on the Disboards for Points for Transfer
It was rejected due to the following new rules eff. 2/01/11.

The DVC Rent/Trade Board Revised February 1, 2011.

Our DVC Rent/Trade Board is intended to benefit active members of the DISboards community by providing a venue for DVC Members to use DVC points that they otherwise are unable to use personally.

Anyone submitting a new thread must have had their DIS User name for at least 6 months, and must have a minimum of 50 non-Rent/Trade board posts (that contribute to discussions on the DIS forums) spread over the last 6 months.

The Board moderators will review the posting history for each submitted thread. Only those submitting a new thread are subject to this restriction. There are no limitations on those responding to a thread posted on the DVC Rent/Trade Board.

Post on MouseOwners.com - The Web's Most Friendly and Reliable Source for Information on the Disney Vacation Club (DVC)

It's not as big as the DIS's but it's not as strict either.
There is alot of rental activity going on over there and it's free.

    I'm active on that forum.
They're friendly and dont' have the agenda that the DIS has.
    It's a very liberal forum.

Also if you want some help with renting your points there is a guy who specializes in that. He gets roughly $10 a point to the owner.
His website is David's Disney Vacation Club Point Rentals.
He's also active on Mouseowners as Daddio.
He's also got a handy dandy points calculator on his site that I love.

        Pat,
That's because DIS is in competition with the owners so they don't make it too easy. That's why I like mouseowners better. I quit hanging out at DIS years ago because they were banning so many nice people it wasn't funny and for stupid things. They don't allow one single negative remark about Disney at all.
I understand that it's their site and they can do what they want but you have to watch your P's and Q's so much that it's just not worth it IMO.
