I am definitely with you on this one. Been there, seen it, and done it. No more thank you.

It is NOT a matter of getting it. It is simply whether you like it or not. I have been to both Disneyland and Disneyworld. Once was enough.

So I guess you don't get it.

That's cause you haven't been to Food & Wine on a girls weekend away yet.

There is an adult side to Disney you know.

There is nothing to get. You obviously have an obsession with Mickey. A lot of people, including myself don't. Just let it go at that.

I've always wanted to give that a try.....Maybe this year? I've got to look into the dates.

If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.

BTW, I'm still keeping track of how many times you annoy me.

If you all need an excuse to go this year, go because this is Disney World's 40th birthday. When I reminded my sister that we both there the year it opened, she groaned. She has avoided Disney for the past 9 years despite her 3 kids under 19yo.
Told her I already brought her a 40th year anniversity coffee mug - no need for her to go back with or without her kids. She liked that.

For a lot of people, Disney is one of those special places. A place that connects with their youth or childhood. Its a place to spend quality family time. For many, its that Disney touch and service that you get from many of their employees. And for some, the ability to use their timeshare unit to get into that "Magical" place is huge. And you can only get that at Disney.

Look at it this way....There are a lot of people who have a passion to ski. But they are not limited to one ski resort, there are hundreds to choose from. Not just limited to one destination (technically two since GCV opened). The same buzz exists for resorts like Harboside at Atlantis....Its one-of-a-kind destination, and people go gaga when they can actually exchange into the resort.

I don't get why "some" have to post their disdain for Disney....some more aggressive then others (angry inner child or something?)

Definitely not for everyone, but we love having the whole "Disney" experience 24 hours a day when we're there. I don't think there's any doubt that it's very expensive relative to the many options in the surrounding area and you can also get larger rooms that are probably even nicer - but after staying on-site once we were hooked. While you certainly pay a premium for the "perks" it's nice to be able to get off the plane and right onto a bus without worrying about your bags, having purchased items sent directly to your room instead of lugging them around, and the extra magic hours are great too.

Is it worth it ? Only the person paying the bill can decide

Do these bonus's like having somebody pick you up at the airport work for people who trade into DVC? I would be interested in giving it a shot, but my resort will pick me up at the airport and take me to my resort. They will then shuttle me to Disney as well. If I am going to trade out of my resort, I would hope they would offer the same service on an exchange.

Yes, when you exchange into DVC, you are entitled to all the perks/bonus's.

Curious which resort you are referring to, that picks you up, and shuttles you to Disney? Is there a charge for these services, and are exchangers entitled to them, as well?

                          Thanks!

For a small fee of $95 you too can catch the Magical Express bus.
Just add an extra 2 hours to your trip while you stop and unload along the way.

You pay the $95 whether you use the Magical Express Bus, to and from the airport, or not. The $95 is a mandatory fee......Since you're paying it anyway, might as well take advantage of some of the perks, if not all.

We normally stay at SSR and I can tell you for a fact it takes us 45-60 minutes to be at the resort.

The $95 fee is not just for use of DME, but does the use of all Disney transportation.
