RCI to DVC...What seems to be the easiest on-site resort to trade into?

What would give me the best chances of getting 2 units at the same DVC resort? I'm thinking I should just try for 2 units at OKW, since that seems to be the easiest to get. I was thinking of trying for 2 units for Easter week 2013. How much of a longshot would that be i f I started the searches now?

Easter week is tricky. That gets deposited, but it is still pretty rare. If they *have* to be at the same resort, I think SSR would be more likely; it is larger. It's not something I assume will happen, especially if you need 2BR units.

A dumb question regarding multiple exchanges. If I wanted two exchanges for a larger family trip, assuming the inventory was there could I exchange into the same resort for both without having to worry about the 1 in 4 rule ?

Meaning, could I get two SSR exchanges for the same week ?

        Thanks,

        Chris

DVC does not currently impose a 1-in-N restriction, as far as I know. So, yes, subject to availability, you could do this.

For those resorts which *do* impose a 1-in-N restriction, policies vary. In general, concurrent or consecutive weeks are considered "one stay". However, I recall seeing a resort that specifically disallowed concurrent or consecutive weeks.

Is the majority of the DVC inventory showing up at the 7 month window or 11 month?

There is a ton of data in the Sightings board.

For the life of me I can't find the Sightings board. Sorry, Newbe at work....

A Newbie issue, but not entirely an oblivious Newbie issue -- you can't see the Exchange Opportunities subforums until you've got thirty posts or are a contributor. Since bnoble has been posting regular updates on DVC availability for a good long while there, I'd either post like a fiend, or send Frank some cash.

while the increase in TPU's required for DVC by RCI from 25 to 32 is unfortunate, it may help my cause as it could lead to less competition for these units.

What eould happen if you started a search before tpu's increased? Do they honor the old tpu amount needed?

No. Trade power fluctuates day to day, and matches are made based on the trade power in force at that time. This can work against you if trade power required rises, and for you if it drops. Both have happened in the past.

But the TPU of the unit (s) you deposited never change, correct?
