  • Disney Wi-Fi

We are planning a trip to Orlando in June. Does any know if Wi-Fi is available in the Disney Parks? We have iPods and can run some of the Disney Apps if we can connect by Wi-Fi.

    Not in the parks, no.

      Thanks,

I was afraid of that. Can I assume that Verizon 4G or 3G works there fine?

Probably, but I don't have a Verizon phone. ATT was usually available.

We are going to stay at Disney OKW and we were told WiFi is available now at the resort and and it is free! It used to cost almost $10/day. Hope it's true, that would be great. I'm not sure about the Parks though but free WiFi at the resorts is a change just recently from my understanding.

I used my verizon droid last year constantly in the parks. I downloaded a great app (and for the life of me can't remember its name) that gave info on ride fast past status, standby line times, showtimes, and other useful info. When I enabled the GPS it would locate me in the park and give directions from that spot. It was a neat app and I think I paid 1.99 for it. I had to reset my phone since then and it is no longer on my phone, but I plan on tracking it down again.

I have also heard about a bunch of free Disney apps.

Have fun! Less than 3 months till next Disney trip and I cannot wait!

Yes it's true in the Deluxe resorts. I'm not sure about the value resorts. OKW is a deluxe so you're good.

I know I used the touringplans one the last time we were there, along with another app that had maps of all the parks.
