BTW, I'm still keeping track of how many times you annoy me.

We always buy a TiW card. If you spend more than a week at WDW and eat at participating restaurants, you will have gotten your money's worth. We save even more since we make multiple trips to WDW a year.

We always purchase it when we have an AP. Well worth it for us. We like to eat at different resorts and the valet parking is a huge plus for us.
We also head to Orlando 2-3 times per year. We also head to Disney with a lot of people sometimes. Allowing the discount for a table of 10 sometimes pays for itself in just 2-3 meals!

Thanks guys! I'm going to buy annual passes, since we'll be there for 3 weeks. Not sure that we'll get back this year, but still worth it for us, and you never know..... I'm going to buy the TIW card too. I wan't sure, but after your replies I think it makes sense for us to get it. The AP does give you 10% off on dining, but not on alcohol. So, with an additional 10% off on food & 20% off on alcohol, I think it will be worth it for us.

Plus, having the AP & the TIW card, I just might be able to talk my family into another trip this year.

I don't buy it because you will get some discounts with an annual pass already.
I already get free valet parking with my handicap decal so that's covered.
I imagine if you are a big group then it's worth it, but for just little old me
I'd have to eat & drink alot of expensive restaurants to recoup my investment.
Easier for me to just take the 10% discount.
Also the discounts are taken before gratuity which is fair.

Makes sense Chriskre. I figured that being as we'll be there for 3 weeks, I'd give it a try.....I'm going to try and save my receipts just to see if/how much I saved.

Well if you spend $300 a day on food which is easy to do if you are in a group, then the savings add up in a week and pay for the card.
It's usually just 3 of us doing one signature dining per day for 5 days at a time.

Maybe the math might add up, but I don't want the pressure to have to spend money to save money.
That's how I got sucked into buying DVC.
Mickey Math seems highly logical when presented by Disney.

You'd break even for the price of the card ($100) at $500, or around $72 a day......If you spent $1000 in a week, you'd save $200. So, you'd be ahead $100, once you minus the price of the card. With the AP 10% discount, you'd save the same $100, on $1000, with no outlay of money.

I think it only makes sense if you're planning on spending more than $1000 during your stay/stays......It is good for a year. So......how much do you spend in a year?

                edited to add:

Also, how much do you spend, if anything on alcohol? The AP doesn't give you any discount on alcohol......Even if we had one glass of wine each/or 1 bottle with dinner, it would start to add up.

BTW, I read somewhere that if you eat at a buffet, the automatic 18% gratuity is not applied.
