  • Scooter rental

We plan to rent scooters (electric wheelchairs, etc.) for our friends while at Disney.

What sort of luck have people had getting these? Do they run out early? How about getting them later in the day?

Does anyone know whether they are available at the back entrance to Epcot?

Would appreciate any info or experiences people have had with them.

    Thanks in advance,

    Nancy

Here is the thing, If you get there early there is a good chance you get one. As people hop the parks you can get it in the afternoon. I had to use one because the first day of my 3 week vacation, I tore my meniscus in my knee jumping into the pool. I had surgery the week I came home

When younger dd and I went to Disneyland about 10 years ago she needed a scooter. Instead of hoping we could get one at the park, we rented from an outside company and had it for the whole time we were there. They delivered it to the hotel, and we just left it there for pick up when we were done. This was we had the scooter to get to the park (we were staying close enough we could walk). I also think overall the charge was less. We could still use the charging stations in the park (I highly recommend taking the charging cord with you so you can charge up during the day). I don't remember the name of the company, but I think I just Googled.

From what I recall there were a lot of people doing the same thing and swore it was better cheaper and quicker to get.

They also fitted it to my dd's size. The service was wonderful. We used it for three days so it was well worth it for us.

We went the first week of March and I rented a EVC from Randy's mobility. I had it for 6 days and it only cost me $150. If you went from Disney it is $50 a day. My scooter was great and came apart so we could put it in the back of our minivan rental.
