Got to meet JudyS in person who was in Orlando. We have an idea we are going to try for DVC. We'll see if anything comes out of it.
Glad that you got to meet Judy. Getting a DVC...Yippee!!

If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.

BTW, I'm still keeping track of how many times you annoy me.

Thanks goes to Angela for contacting me when she saw it. Thanks for TimeshareForums for creating a community where this is possible.
I said it before, I'll say it again. Timesharing is one step above Sliced bread and one step below the microwave oven in terms of best all time creations by humans.
You're right....This is certainly one great forum!!! It was pure luck, that that 3 bdrm popped up that day. I'm glad that you were able to use it. Others such as Lawren, Ken, etc., search, and find great sightings each day. They have helped many people go on fabulous vacations!!!

Then there are those, including yourself, who put in lots of time giving advise, teaching the ins, and outs, of timesharing, and helping others out, wherever they can.

      Yup....This is one great forum.

Please call me if you have any DVC questions as I own 850 points.

I am interested in your perspective as it is harder to beat the system as compared to other TS. I have stayed at them all (2 bedrooms) and have never stayed in the 3 bedroom GV and your effective cost brings tears to my eyes.

What specific property are you considering?

Be careful as I hear OWK is trying to charge $25 per point to extend the current contracts for 15 years. I do NOT think this is mandatory, but will create two classes of OWK points.

Ah, that is the exact source of my idea. Where there is confusion, there is ALWAYS an opportunity. All you need to do is think out of the box.

I like that 3 br Grand Villa so much, I want to buy enough Disney points to get one whenever I want.

The point values are located here
Old Key West DVC Point Chart, Disney Vacation Club

I rent my DVC points for $10-11pp, thus the 3 bedroom would rent for $3560 for this week and this is the CHEAPEST week to rent and would be over $5000 during the summer. I think you got a bargain using your method and I doubt that anyone can beat your rate. My cost for DVC is about $4.12pp, thus my cost is $1467 and you have me beat as an owner.

My only advantage is the freedom to book 7 months in advance while you must get LUCKY to trade into it.

I am curious to see how you can pull this one off as it is not easy to GAME the DVC system.

              Hi Boca,

Good luck on the DVC points. We really enjoy our membership. We also like being able to get the $100 discount on annual passes/free parking at the theme parks if we're offsite.

                BB,
Sorry I missed you in Hawaii. Had a great tmie at the wedding. Hapa did the cocktail music and the U.H. sports guy, real funny, who's going to have a morning program on KGMB, (begins with B - can't remember) was the emcee. The Moana was beautiful for the function and my room faced Diamond Head. Was only there 36 hours, but it was worth it.

Yeah, I got to meet Jim when I was at Disney! We had a good talk about timeshares while sitting in the ESPN club at Boardwalk. Believe it or not, this was the first time I met another TUG/TS4MS participant in person!

I was staying in a one-bedroom at Boardwalk -- not as impressive a trade as Jim's Old Key West Grandvilla, but then, it was a solo trip for me, so I don't know what I would have done with three bedrooms.
