  • Disney Cruise in June

    Hi All,
We are thinking of going on a Disney Cruise in June when school lets out. Any ideas, suggestions on great deals etc?
We have never been on a cruise. Our children are 7 and 8 and have watched a travel special on cruises and were really psyched about the idea.
I got on a few websites but thought I'd ask the experts!
    Thanks
    Kathleen

Are you a DVC owner and planning on using points? Just curious. We're thinking of doing that too for 09. But I heard the point trade on the cruises is really bad and it's better to just pay cash.

Rent your points rather then use for the cruise - very bad conversion rate.
Or better yet, cruise then stay a few days at the park using your points.

          Thanks!
I checked this out. It's excellent. We do not have points to trade so would be paying cash. We are on the east coast and after doing alot of research we are pretty sure that Disney only does a 4 day cruise during the summer out of Florida as they want you to spend $$ in the parks (which we've done 5 times now).
So we see that they will probably be starting 7 night cruises in the summer next year or....we could pull the kids out for a week during school and ruin their perfect attendance ( I like this idea).
We really want a 7 night cruise so we are really going to pursue that avenue.
          Appreciate the info!
          Kathleen.
