small point contract question

Is there a benefit of only buying a 25 point contract? Occasionally I see them for sale and I'm just wondering why people buy only 25 points. TIA

You can bank and borrow. Might work out nice for someone that just wants to stay in a studio 5 or 6 nights every three years or so. A small contract would also give you the annual pass discount.

These are generally add-on purchases. The minimum initial buy has ranged from 100 to 210, IIRC.

I know of at least one person who keeps a minimal account, and uses that for the AP discount and to add days here and there to weeks he gets through Interval, to get trips longer than seven nights cheaply.

I'll give you an example. I have an August use year. My fresh alotment of points rolled in August 1, 2008. I banked my 2008 points into 2009 (one year ahead). For a 2009 reservation, I could also borrow 2010 points.
