  • Park ticket/pass cost?

Just currious to know what the best way of obtaining park passes is. Is it best to buy when you get to Orlando at your resort or to purchase online before you go?

    Thanks for the help.

It's definitely cheaper to purchase before going. There's a slight additional mark-up at the gate/hotel usually (10% or less). I have gotten slightly cheaper tickets by shopping around the different resellers than I could get from the Disney website, but nothing too big (10% or less). Disney tries to prevent most discounting of tickets, instead packaging the tickets in a more attractive way or with additional freebies.

That said, if staying on Disney property, it is convenient to have your ticket, room card, and charging card all on one.

I've seen several people recommend What are Mouseears? for the best deal.

Undercover Tourist! They have the best discount I've found. At minimum, you save the amount of tax, and shipping is free. If you subscribe to mousesavers.com, they have a monthly newsletter that has a link for additional discounts. I've been ordering from UT for several years and won't buy anywhere else. I always try to keep a few extra tickets on hand as a hedge against Disney's price increases (of which there have been four in the last three years IIRC).

          Any military in your group?
Discounted tickets at bases and Shades of Green resort on Disney property.
Also, a fantastic 5 day ticket deal for 2009 for active/retired military.

I second Undercover Tourist! Unless military, then there is a great offer right now good until Dec 1st I think.
Military person gets a free 5 day pass - then up to 6 others for around $100. Not sure if those details are 100% correct - but they are close.

Also - you should sign up for the mousesavers newsletter. MouseSavers.com - Disney Discount Source - Disney World Discounts, Disneyland Discounts, Disney Cruise Discounts
Sometimes undercover tourist will sometimes have additional discounts if you get that newsletter.
