Learned something new today. 
I've been looking at only the inventory online to see what is available in open season. So with all this talk about SFX, I decided to give HGVC a call and see if it matches online. Guess what? They had much more stuff available by phone than what was on their website.

I booked into Seawatch for 3 nights with open season rates and the whole week was available. They also had stuff in Sanibel at Tortuga (also not online) but with the stairs issue can't really book that with Mom.
I am really happy with HGVC overall. Great little mini for us Floridians.
Might work well for you snowbirds too.
