Hyatt deposit to II

I called 1-800-GOHYATT and spoke to the II rep.

I asked if I deposit a red studio (430 points) if I get an AC. The rep told me I would not and I am surprised since I thought most Hyatt deposits get an AC?

So I did not deposit. II will not get my points / week without an AC.

The AC's aren't worth a heck of alot these days so you're not missing much.
I haven't found anything to use mine on yet. Probably just use it in Orlando at a nice Marriott.

Yeah the ac they gave to my Hyatt account (without deposit or exchange) has such a limited and restrictive grid that there is nothing of interesting..

Actually thinking about it, the correct term is xyz... I was asking for AC.

Does II only give xyz upon exchange or deposit into II?

XYZ is given after you make an exchange. It is restricted to certain areas and can only be done "x" among of time ahead (not 12 months)
Not all II reps know about it, so if they do not, call back. The XYZ is for the same unt size.

ACs are not given for studio deposits, one bedroom or larger.

I just got my first AC with no deposit or getaway purchased however the restrictive nature of it means that I can go to one resort, at a time when there is no real reason to go anywhere. They are probably trying to get me to renew my membership and that is NOT going to be the way to do it!
