    MarBrisa is Resort of the Year!

    You probably already know your resort is special, however, if you need more validation, here it is. Hilton Grand Vacations Club at MarBrisa was honored with Grand Pacific Resort's prestigious "Resort of the Year" award. Our staff deserves congratulations for this achievement. It was won due to the staff's ability to provide an unmatched vacation experience, operating at efficient staffing levels, and passionately looking for opportunities to connect with our guests!

    More Awards for Resort and Staff
    OOur resort was additionally honored by the American Resort Development Association (ARDA) at its World 2013 Convention with three more awards:

    Silver RCI Green Award
    MarBrisa earned one of the top honors in this year's RCI Green Awards Competition, the Silver RCI Green Award. The resort was chosen for this honor for going above and beyond in incorporating sustainability efforts into day-today operations!

    Department Manager of the Year
    Shana Mays won ARDA's Department Manager of the Year award. This award is all the more special because the finalists are selected from hundreds of entries submitted by ARDA members and then judged independently in a confidential/blind judging process. Way to go Shana!

    Maintenance Technician of the Year
    The same judging was used to choose Aric Luis as ARDA's Maintenance Technician of the Year. As Howard Nusbaum, President and CEO of ARDA puts it, "it's about recognizing the 'best of the best' in the vacation ownership industry." We are very lucky to have both Aric and Shana on our staff!

    Important Projects to Ensure the Care of Your Investment
    In line with MarBrisa's comprehensive 30-year reserve study we have these projects underway:

    Parking Lots Sealed and Striped
    To make it easier and more efficient to park, both parking lots in Phase I have been resealed, striped and numbered.

    Railings and Trellis Progress
    The first areas to open at MarBrisa, Sunset Pool and Villas 54 and 56 railings and trellises are being painted. This is part of our proactive maintenance approach. Though they may not look like they need a fresh coat of paint, in our minds, if wear and tear is visible, then we've waited too long for the maintenance.

    Fun at "The Cove"
    Spring is here and summer is on the way, and that means fun at our new pool area, "The Cove." We've planned exciting activities for everyone. Join in the fun of "Minute to Win it" themed dances, show your skills in the "dance competitions" (We know you've been watching "Dancing with the Stars!), and dive in for "Dive-in-Movies! See you there!

    So is this a big deal?
    "Efficient staffing"? Sounds like working on skeleton staffing to me.
    Maybe I need to revisit this resort but I remember the staff going home at 9pm, so I don't know who is being efficient.
    In other words, you are on your own after 9pm.
    I know many of the affiliates have no front desk staff after hours, but this is a bigger resort and really should have 24 hour staffing IMO.

    What would really make this a great resort would be to put in elevators in the hillside buildings.
