  • Tell me about Hyatt Points....good or bad?

Hyatt has some of the nices TSs around and has some very nice locations.
From a thread OY, I learned that a resale buyer does not lose anything (almost) in resale but I also don't know the resale prices of say a 2BR high season amount of points.

Does anyone have any knowledge of this system - the ins and outs, pros and cons?

Can u combine points from one resort with points from another?

I know you can deposit with II as well as do internal reservations....
What is the minimum amount of points it takes to deposit a studio with II? a 1BR?

    Any input welcome.....

Ken Lepic is an absolute whiz at explaining Hyatt. Kal's-Hyatt Vacation Club

Depending on how you like to vacation, Bronze could work for you, it is a lower amount of points, but works well for many.
Hyatt Vacation Club Here's a point chart/grid which will help you to see what 1300 pts can do. You can split them and the amount of points is tied into season, days used, size of unit and resort.

In Hyatt, you own a unit and a week which equates into X amount of points.
You can use your own week, don't use your own week and trade within Hyatt or deposit into Interval International (Hyatt isn't affiliated with RCI).

For me, Hyatt is absolutely wonderful.

From what is posted above - I am just curious - is the MF tied into the number of points you own or do all 2BRs in Tahoe say have a $600 yearly MF regardless of season or number of points assigned?

The latter is correct. If I have 1300 pts at Hyatt Coconut - Bonita and you have 2200, then we pay the same.
Please join our Hyatt Club. Also, you have my phone number, if not, I wrote in on the wall of The Goumba Men's Bathroom........."For a good time call..."

We can talk re: Hyatt. Can even trade in the future.
