The HGVC 2d plus and the 3bd are equal in value 8400pts. The question is
which do people prefer?

With the 2BR, your maintenance fees will be less because MFs are based on unit size, not number of points. But I would think that you would pay a premium for the 2BR plus.

I think 8400 point contracts are a bit rare. 3400/5000/7000 are very common and many on resale. The least expensive are ones in Vegas. Perhaps, 8400 contracts may be more common in Hawaii but will be more pricey.
