I checked out this link and it is still good. I did notice that the annual fee has gone up to $45 per year after the first year free. But once you get your $15k in purchases within 6 months for 15K more Starpoints there is no use to have the card anymore. We are almost at the $15k so it is time to have the spouse get the card and get the bonus again in her account.

No need to get to the $30k annual purchases for SPG Gold Status if you own an SVN Resort which gives automatic Gold Status.
