We got some free nights when we toured Manhatten Club. Does anyone know what HGVC is offering? Our 13 weeks, including 6 in Hawaii, didn't cost anywhere near the low end of one of these NY weeks, and ours are all deeded.

Exactly. You won't see many of them showing up for exchange.

If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.

BTW, I'm still keeping track of how many times you annoy me.

Yes even for the studio I am gussing MFs will be close to $2000 per. week once Hilton sell over 80% and stop subsidize them, Like the MC did
yea NYC timeshare is for personal use for family and friends, not for exchanging,
like Artise stated you dont see Hilton NY or Manhattan Club Penthouse suites up for exchange, like one post here stated she was told by 11 that even afther a 10 yr request she still may never get an exchange in to MC Penthouse suite
I have requested a tour , have not gotten a reply, will post result here

                West 57th Street

I received an invitation to view the new "exquisite studio, one-bedroom, and penthouse units" at the "latest premium property now under construction in the heart of Manhattan."

I can choose from 2 packages:
3 days/2 nights at the Hilton, NY
                Accommodations for 2
Choice of 20,000 Hilton HHonors points or 2 nights of hotel parking
                From $299

3 days/2 nights at the Hilton, NY
                Accommodations for 2
Choice of 20,000 Hilton HHonors points or 2 nights of hotel parking
$200 Entertainment Voucher good for shows and events
                From $398

So, my question is, is this a good deal? I'm leery of the "from" in the wording. I would have up to one year to take my get-away after reserving. I do not see anything about the length of the presentation. Also, I'd like a little more detail on what that $200 Entertainment voucher would buy me.

Does anyone have any experience with this type of package from Hilton? Advice and opinions are requested. And no, there is not a chance that I will be purchasing.

                Thanks,
                Sue

Not a Hilton expert but I'm guessing the "from" has to do with days of the week and possibly times of the year/holidays. The manhattan club charges more for weekend promo stays. Given that a 4* hotel room in the city starts around $400/nite right now, I'd say it is a good deal. I wouldn't bother w/ the entertainment package unless you know exactly what's in it and it ends up being worth it to you. Parking in the area runs a miminum of $30 per 24 hours (I got clipped for $45 recently), so you can gauge the point option accordingly.

Otoh, NYC hotel rates go down quite a bit in Jan and Feb, and if you can travel on short notice and are flexible re location, Priceline works great.

We will be there next August

We have a confirmed reservation for a week at the West 57th St. Hilton from SFX for August, 2010.

Nice! Be sure to check with the resort to be sure you are aware of all the miscellaneous charges such as parking, breakfast, etc.. SFX normally does a great job of identifying those, but with a new resort you'll want to double check to avoid surprises..

                          Have fun!

Thanks for the info. Parking isn't a problem as we won't have a car. I believe that the breakfast is free but that can change by next August. In any event, it isn't a problem one way or the other.
