VACATION TIPS AND TRICKS CONTEST ENTRY FORM
Official Contest Rules
No purchase is necessary to enter or to win. This promotion is sponsored by Starwood Vacation Ownership, Inc., 9002 San Marco Court, Orlando, Florida, 32819. Participation in the contest is limited to those individuals who have acquired a real estate vacation ownership interest/unit week in a Starwood Vacation Ownership resort and are "Owners". Owners must be in good standing at time of Drawing (all payments, including maintenance fees and taxes are to be paid and up to date). By entering this Contest, you agree to be bound by these Official Contest Rules and the decision of the judges, which shall be final and conclusive on all matters. Contest begins at 12:01 a.m. EST on 10/1/2007 and ends at 11:59 p.m. EST on 12/31/2007. All entries become the property of the Sponsor.
How to Enter: An Owner can enter by completing the Vacation Tips and Tricks Contest entry form at mystarcentral.com or by mailing a postcard with the Owner's name, address, phone number, email address and tip or trick to: Vacation Tips and Tricks Contest, Attention: Better Way to See the World, 9002 San Marco Court, Orlando, Florida, 32819. A limit of one (1) entry per Owner will be accepted for the duration of the contest. Any additional entries submitted will become the property of Starwood Vacation Ownership and will not be included in the Grand Prize Drawing. Participation in the Contest by an Owner is voluntary. Each Owner who submits a valid tip or trick in their Contest entry form will receive 500 Starwood Preferred Guest® Starpoints (valued at US$12.50) within seven (7) days of the Grand Prize Drawing. The nature of the Owner's tip or trick will not affect his or her chances of winning. Any attempts to access the site via a bot script, brute-force attack or other improper means will result in ineligibility of all resulting entries. Entries that contain errors or are mechanically reproduced, incomplete or illegible will not be accepted.
Grand Prize Drawing: The Grand Prize Drawing will be held 01/31/2008. One (1) Grand Prizewinner will be awarded 25,000 Starpoints (valued at US$625) within seven (7) days of the Grand Prize Drawing. The chances of winning 25,000 Starpoints are dependent upon the number of entries received.
Eligibility: Employees of Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc., and its subsidiaries, advertising agencies, affiliates, suppliers, and their families are not eligible to participate. This drawing is void where prohibited or otherwise restricted by law. Taxes on prizes, if any, are the sole responsibility of the Prizewinner. Prizes are not transferable. Potential Prizewinner is required to complete an Affidavit of Eligibility/Liability Release and, where permitted by law, Publicity Release. If Prizewinner is ineligible or prize notification is returned as undeliverable or Affidavit and Release are not returned within ten (10) days of notification, Prize will be forfeited and an alternate Prizewinner will be selected. There will be no substitution of any prize, except at the Sponsor's sole discretion, in which case a prize of equal or greater value will be awarded. Cash equivalents of any Prize will not be substituted. Entry constitutes Prizewinner's permission to use his/her name, photograph and/or voice recordings for advertising and publicity purposes without additional compensation or permission, except where prohibited by law.
Verification: Potential Prizewinner will be notified within seven (7) days of drawing by e-mail, phone or overnight delivery. Prizewinner is subject to verification.
Prizewinner Announcement: For the name of the Prizewinner, send a self-addressed, stamped envelope to Vacation Tips and Tricks Contest, Attention: Better Way to See the World, 9002 San Marco Court, Orlando, Florida 32819.; The request must be received (not postmarked) no later than 1/15/2008.
Release of Liability: Where permissible, acceptance of the Prize constitutes permission to use the Owner's name, biographical information and/or likeness for the purpose of advertising and promotion, and without further compensation. By accepting the Prize, the Prizewinner agrees to release and hold Starwood Vacation Ownership, Inc., its parent, subsidiaries, affiliates, officers, directors, shareholders, agents, employees and all others associated with the development and execution of this Contest from any and all liability with respect to or in any way arising from this Contest, and/or acceptance, use or misuse of the Prize, including liability for personal injury, death, damage or loss.
Operations: Sponsor is not responsible for incomplete or incorrect information, transmission, telecommunication or service interruption. Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion to cancel or suspend the Contest should viruses, bugs or other causes beyond the control of Sponsor corrupt the administration, security or proper play of the Contest, and to select the Prizewinner(s) from entries received prior to the action taken. In the event of a dispute regarding the identity of a person submitting an entry, the entry will be deemed submitted by the person in whose name the email account is registered.
