  • Question about 1-in-4 rule

    Hi!

It's been awhile since I've last visited or posted. I am an RCI Points member and have a question for the HGVC people. Almost two years ago we used our points to stay at the HGVC Sea World. I have been looking at using points to stay at an HGVC property in Las Vegas. Would the 1-in-4 rule apply to all HGVC properties, or just the HGVC Sea World? I have done some searches and I can't seem to find the answer.

    Thanks so much!

We have missed you! Hope all is well.

If you used points to a points resort there is no 1-in-4 rule. If you used points to get a "week" the 1-in-4 applies to each individual property at l;east to the HGVCs.

      Hi, Lawren!

Thanks so much for the warm welcome. Everything's great, just really busy with kid stuff mostly. I'll try to frequent this place more often. We're just starting harvest right now (we tried to, anyway!

Also, I appreciate the response to my question. Now that I read--and understand--the fine print on the HGVC, I can see that it says the 1-in-4 applies for "regular exchanges", and I assume that that doesn't mean points exchanges.

Correct. The 1-4 is for weeks exchanges not exchanges done with point's inventory.
