  • Marriott "Seasons" Chart

Does Marriott have a chart that gives the dates for the different seasons - platinum, gold, silver, etc - for all of their resorts?

I have looked around on their website, but couldn't find anything like this.

Westin has everything summarized very nicely on their website, but they have fewer resorts.

    Thanks for any information!

Each Marriott resort has it's own seasons. If you go to www.mvci.com and click on the resort you are interested in, at the bottom of the page you will find a link to the calendar with season breakdown for that resort.

I took a look at the charts for interests sake.

They correspond, as would be expected, with RCI's red, white and blue seasons.

Not willing to spend the time to verify but the platinum seems expanded over even RCI's light pink, pinker and red, all classifed as red season.

I have no exposure to the Marriot system but I would bet they sell them as floating weeks.

Most if not ALL of the newer Marriotts are floating weeks.

Annecdotally, all the weeks at Newport Coast (NCV) are floating, with the exception of July 4th week and Christmas week, which are fixed and designated "Platinum Plus" and "Holiday" respectively. IIRC, PLT+ brings about a 20% premium developer, compared to PLT. Considering the lousy PLT season at NCV (early June to Dec 23 prox), where many owners are all trying to get in on the two month summer season, PLT+ is almost a must for folks who don't want the headaches and want to go during the summer every year.

I predict the floating week trend will continue, along with the trend to fewer lock-off resorts being developed. We'll see....
