Destin Points not permanent

Just spoke to Michael Osborne, Marriott Sr Mgr,Customer Advocacy. He informed me that even though today my Fairway Ville has an Owner Value at 2075. THE CURRENT USAGE POINTS NEEDED FOR SAME PROP IS 2750, but that will continually rise. THE USAGE NUMBER IS not permanent. THE OWNER VALUE IS permanent. WHAT A RIP OFF!

Ocean Point

I did some research and found the following:

I have a 2 BR at Ocean Point silver season and Marriott offerred me 3050 pts.

My silver season in 2011 is as follows
4/30 - 5/28
8/27 - 12/17

This assumes a Saturday checkin for 7 days.

Now that Marriott has posted point charts it looks like the seasons have shifted. Sometimes I come out ahead sometims I dont. This is what it would cost me for my silver season (OS = Ocean Side, OF= Ocean Front).

4/8 - 5/12 OF=4,225 pts OS=5,225pts
5/13 - 9/1 OF=2,950 pts OS=3,675pts
9/2 - 9/29 OF=2,000 pts OS=2,675 pts
9/30 - 11/3 OF=2,950 pts OS=3,675pts
11/4 -12/22 OF=4,225 pts OS=5,225pts

These are all for 2 br units. As anyone can see it's a mixed bag. For parts of my silver season I can go for a week and have some points left over, for other parts I can't even get close. And by the way the 2012 points are exactly the same as 2011.
