No ! Might be to do with Spanish or French property legistlation . But in my opinion unless we have a strong desire to regulary visit the US , we are better with our weeks and the II alternative .

In my case, I do exchange very often in to the US. My guess is that the european resorts will get graded with a reasonably high amount of points, if and when, the scheme is applied. This means that I may be able to get more days for my week in the not so popular and off season locations. Right now I get a straight week for week swap.

My main concern going forward is inventory availability.

European inventory is made available in II when we deposit our weeks. But the US inventory is split between II and DC. It is very likely that Marriott keep the best weeks for DC. Therefore we only get to see half of what we could see before and less prime weeks.

For US owners wanting to exchange in to europe, you have to use II. This will put US inventory in to II, but Marriott state they will be taking inventory from II for DC members, reducing available inventory for non DC members.

Unless the DC/Trust inventory and II inventory is an open pool available to all.

Am I correct or just worrying to much ???

Good points (pardon the pun) .I was under the impression the our home weeks were "secure" but that internal trades via Marriott and deposits with II would continue to give us flexibility. Marriott has not been in touch advising our access had changed in any way.But lets see...
