  • How long for Marriott to acknowledge resale purchase?

Our closing company sent us a copy of our recorded deed and they have sent a copy of our deed and the transfer fee to Marriott.

How long does it usually take for Marriott to send out a letter with your owner card/member number after they receive the recorded deed and transfer fee for new ownership?

    Thanks.

I already was an owner and it seemed to take them forever to get my new resort into my account.

In fact, I called them twice trying to move things along.

In other words, don't hold your breath.

What did you buy?? I remember how much you enjoyed Horizons and you also like Cypress Harbour. Either of those?

Thanks Cindi. We bought an EOY at Horizons Branson. I found a good deal on it. We plan on probably using it mostly to trade back into Orlando (at Cypress Harbour or Horizons Orlando). But I also like the idea of having a resort we can drive to in 8 hours or less - and Horizons Branson fit the bill for that.

That sounds like a perfect fit for you. Congratulations.

Update - I got my letter from Marriott yesterday with our member number. So it only took about 2 weeks from the time our closer mailed our deed to them. I joined Interval yesterday, but it will probably take a week to get that all set up and running.

Marriott personnel were extremely nice on the phone (we bought resale). Definitely no second class attitude from Marriott regarding our resale purchase.

Glad to hear you had such a quick turnaround.....I am in the process of selling a week so this will be good news for my buyer - I had imagined it would be 2 to 4 weeks.

If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.

BTW, I'm still keeping track of how many times you annoy me.

Thanks. I was surprised we heard from Marriott that quick.
