As I am still in shock how easily I was just able to reserve July 7-14 2007 at NCV (Newport Coast), I am curious how other members this year have been doing when reserving high season intervals at their Marriott resorts. NCV is particularly bad because the Platinum season runs from the second week of June to Christmas (July 4th week and Christmas week are fixed) and nearly everyone looks for weeks in July and August.
I have not been able to reserve a summer week at NCV this easily since our first year of ownership there. Last year, after trying for nearly 2 months, I finally got a date in late August.
Has something changed or did I just get lucky?
For the record, I first looked at 7:32am PDT (9:32 CDT), which is substantially past MVCI's opening time. Both Friday and Saturday (I didn't check Sunday) check-ins were available. Adding, this is a 12 month reservation window (we do not own multiple intervals in the same season).
